Em 2007, pela primeira vez na França, umgrande partido político, o Partido Socialista,apresentou uma mulher como candidata à presidênciada república. Ela não foi eleita, mas asua campanha se reveste de uma importânciasingular num país onde, até então, não haviamais do que 12,3% de mulheres na composiçãodo Congresso Nacional (18,5% desde aseleições legislativas de junho de 2007). Esteartigo analisa o significado dessa candidaturado ponto de vista de gênero na história daelegibilidade na França e na história do voto.
In 2007, for the first time in France, a big political party, the socialist party, has presented a woman as a candidate for the republic presidence. She has not been elected but her campaign is particularly important in a country who had only 12,3% of women in his national assembly (18,5% since the national elections of june 2007). This paper analyzes the meaning of this candidature from the point of view of the gender in the story of elegibility and the story of the vote in France.
