A educação ambiental (EA), por estar submetida à obrigatoriedade de ensino no Brasil, tem sido institucionalizada paulatinamente no Exército Brasileiro (EB), seja sob a modalidade de ensino formal nas escolas militares ou não-formal para os efetivos de jovens que prestam serviço militar inicial. Nesse trabalho expõe-se o amparo legal para a introdução da EA no sistema de ensino militar e se analisa o atual panorama da EA já implantada no EB, sobretudo nos seus preceitos epistemológicos.
In Brazil, the enviromental education should be insert in all educational modallities, among them, the military. The brazilian army have been introduced this subject in your schools and in the military instructions for soldiers. This paper show how the enviromental education was introduced in the army and this trajectory untill nowadays.
