Neste artigo nos interessa analisar o processo de inclusão do Yoga como Patrimônio Cultural Imaterial da Humanidade, procurando compreender os significados, contextos, atores e redes que emergem a partir do seu pedido de inclusão e do consequente reconhecimento dessa prática milenar nos espaços institucionalizados que a referenciam e a acionam nas políticas, diretrizes e discursos de busca pela sustentabilidade e paz mundial, analisando, com esta intenção, as interfaces entre cultura, patrimônio, conhecimentos tradicionais, saúde e política.
In this article, we analyze the process of including Yoga as an intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, seeking to understand the meanings, the contexts, the actors and networks that emerge from its inclusion request and, consequently, its recognition as an ancient practice in institutionalized spaces that refer and trigger policies, guidelines and discourses on search for sustainability and world peace, and analyze with this in mind, the interfaces between culture, heritage, traditional knowledge, health and politics.
