Alda Lara (1930-1962) foi uma poeta angolana em cujos escritos vê-se tanto o vigor de uma escrita literária de autoria feminina quanto a perspicácia da consciência africana/angolana enunciada pela mulher. Desde então, muitos estudos têm se debruçado sobre a lírica lariana, a fim de melhor compreendê-la de vários pontos de vista. Neste estudo, busca-se evidenciar melhor a maneira pela qual o tempo surge nessa poética enquanto categoria humana, histórica e fenomenológica, de que Alda foi exemplo paradigmático, como será possível perceber. Para tal empreendimento, parte-se de uma breve abordagem teórica que vai de Santo Agostinho a Heidegger (2012), passando ainda por Benveniste (2006), Bauman (2001) e Elias (1988), cujas vozes, em sinergia metodológica, dão um amplo panorama sobre as concepções da ideia de tempo.

Alda Lara (1930-1962) was an Angolan poet in whose writings can be found both the vigour and vitality we associate with female authorship and the insights that reflect the African / Angolan consciousness as expressed by a woman. Since her death, many studies have attempted from various viewpoints to craft a better understanding of the poet and her poetry by focusing on "Larian lyricism" The present study, however, seeks to contribute to the growing literature on Alda Lara's poetry by tracing how she deploys time - as a human(ised,) historical and phenomenological category. Indeed, as will become clear in the paper, Alda Lara was herself paradigmatic of this conceptualisation of time. The study begins with a brief theoretical approach that ranges from Saint Augustine to Heidegger (2012), and from Benveniste (2006) to Bauman (2001) and Elias (1998); these methodologically complementary contributions provide us with an appropriately broad yet coherent overview of the various conceptions of time for the specific analysis that is subsequently presented.
