Neste trabalho, descrevemos passo a passo a construção de um instrumento rudimentar de medição de ângulos e distâncias entre dois pontos, sem a necessidade de acesso a um destes pontos. Tal instrumento é chamado Visor de Paralaxe. Também apresentamos uma atividade prática, que pode ser aplicada no Ensino Médio, que consiste em calcular distâncias e áreas de polígonos usando o Visor de Paralaxe.

The present article infers on the construction of an instrument that allows the measurement of angles and distances between two points without the need of access to one of these points and, consequently, allows to estimate the area of convex polygons. This instrument is known as “Parallax Display”, which will be described theoretically in the sections of this work, as well as the methodology used for its construction. We will also present an activity (an experience) in which we prove the efficiency of this instrument. It is also worth noting that in our research we use as theoretical and methodological reference the History of Mathematics and Investigations in Geometry in the schoolroom.
