Esse artigo visa analisar como ocorre a construção social das mulheres vulneráveis à violência no espaço familiar, sendo idealizado, na sociedade moderna, como palco sagrado e refúgio para a barbárie social Saffioti (1994), como resultado da socialização. Assim, a pesquisa teve o objetivo de apresentar dados catalogados na dissertação de mestrado “A notícia de violência contra a mulher e a violência da notícia”, em que foram analisados os casos de seis mulheres em situação de violência doméstica, que tiveram suas histórias publicadas pelos diários que circulam em jornais impressos de Goiânia, O Popular e o Diário da Manhã. As mulheres entrevistadas foram selecionadas a partir de uma consulta a esses dois jornais veiculados nos anos de 1997 e 1998, perfazendo um total de 1456 exemplares, dos quais 88 notícias foram consideradas universo da pesquisa. Pode-se concluir que na maioria das notícias selecionadas para definir os sujeitos da pesquisa, a violência aconteceu na casa da vítima, reforçando que historicamente é no espaço da conjugalidade, isto é, a casa, que os conflitos de gênero dessas relações que disputam e a violência se estabelece.

This article aims to analyze how the social construction of women vulnerable to violence occurs in the family space, being idealized, in modern society, as a sacred stage and refuge for social barbarism Saffioti (1994), as a result of socialization. Thus, the research aimed to present data cataloged in the master's dissertation "The news of violence against women and violence in the news", in which the cases of six women in situations of domestic violence were analyzed, whose stories were published by the diaries that circulate in printed newspapers in Goiânia, O Popular and Diário da Manhã. The women interviewed were selected from a consultation of these two newspapers published in 1997 and 1998, making a total of 1456 copies, of which 88 news were considered the research universe. It can be concluded that in most of the news selected to define the subjects of the research, the violence happened in the victim's house, reinforcing that historically it is in the space of conjugality, that is, the house, that the gender conflicts of these relationships that dispute and violence sets in.
