No presente artigo, temos por objetivo, examinar o conceito de “verdade” em Rousseau e as vinculações deste, com os conceitos de virtude, linguagem, sentimento e política. Por se tratar de uma preocupação recorrente, que não o abandona em fase alguma da vida e por permear seus diversos escritos é que nos propomos a investigá-la. Para tanto utilizaremos, principalmente os seguintes textos: O Discurso sobre as ciências e as artes, os Devaneios do caminhante solitário, o Emílio e As Confissões.
Resumo Inglês:
My aim in this article is to explore the concept of “truth” in Rousseau, and its connections with the concepts of virtue, language, feeling and politics. The reason why I embark on this exploration is that it involves a recurrent concern of Rousseau’s, which is not abandoned by him at any point in life and which underlies many of his writings. To that end, I set out to make particular use of the following texts: Discourse on the Sciences and Arts, Revelries of a Solitary Walker, Émile and The Confessions.
