O presente artigo analisa como a utilização da música rock no seu nascimento e ainda hoje, está atrelada ao diálogo inter-religioso e intercultural, com significações sagradas e profanas, que podem ser imprimidas pelos jovens que estão nas tribos urbanas headbangers dos grandes centros urbanos. O objetivo principal desse artigo é mostrar como o rock pode aglutinar os jovens na produção musical e nos seus mais diversos gêneros, como também no contexto religioso atual. A metodologia proposta para esse trabalho é constituída por análise da referência bibliográfica e tem como teórico principal, o sociólogo Michel Maffesoli. Nossa hipótese é que, mesmo com a utilização do rock nas práticas religiosas e nas espiritualidades alternativas por igrejas e comunidades na atualidade, essa prática não parece ser nova, mas sinaliza justamente um retorno ao mesmo ponto de partida dos negros dos Estados Unidos, que utilizaram no nascimento da música rock este estilo musical para expressar seus gritos campais de libertação contra a escravidão, no contexto sagrado e profano, com o blues e com o gospel, possibilitandoba abertura para o diálogo inter-religioso e intercultural.

The present article analyzes how the use of rock music at its birth and still today is linked to the interreligious and intercultural dialogue, with sacred and profane significations, that can be impressed by the young people who are in the urban tribes headbangers of the great urban centers. The main objective of this article is to show how rock can bring young people together in music production and in their most diverse genres, as well as in the current religious context. The methodology proposed for this work is constituted by analysis of the bibliographical reference and has as main theoretician the sociologist Michel Maffesoli among other authors. Our hypothesis is that even with the use of rock in religious practices, and in alternative spiritualities by churches and communities today, this practice does not seem to be new. But it signals, precisely, for a return to the same starting point of the blacks of the United States, who used the birth of rock music, this musical style, to express their pitched screams of liberation against slavery, in the sacred and profane context, with the blues and with the gospel. This enabled openness to interreligious and intercultural dialogue.
