Dança de Xiva, de Paulo Villela Marques, publicado em 2002, faz parte de uma coletânea de contos de quatro autores do livro Ângulo Bi. O autor, por sua obra, é considerado um importante expoente da nova literatura mato-grossense, como contista e poeta. O conto, como gênero narrativo, é uma forma de literatura que abre possibilidades para compreender e descrever as tantas imagens, realistas ou não, deste mundo cotidiano em que vivemos. Em particular, no conto Dança de Xiva, a imagem realística do mundo com espaço/tempo definidos fica à margem do cotidiano, uma vez que a história não tem um desfecho racional e ronda sempre um ar subjetivo que nos envolve na trama. A fábula trata da morte de um ex-policial/religioso hinduísta por três assassinos/monges e da sua investigação por um policial. Neste estudo procura-se identificar os recursos literários utilizados pelo autor para compor este efeito maravilhoso de infinito/atemporal dentro do universo da história narrada, seus personagens e seus papeis.

Dança de Xiva, by Paulo Villela Marques was published in 2002. It’s a part of a collection of ‘short stories’ by four authors of the book Ânglo Bi. This storyteller and poet, under his production, is considered an important exponent of new literature from Mato Grosso. The ‘short stories’ narrative genre opens possibilities for understanding and describing the many images, realistic or not, this daily world we live. Particularly in the story Dança de Xiva the realistic image of the world com space/time is set on the fringes of daily life, since the story does not have a rational end and always stay around a subjective aspect that surrounds us in the plot. The story is about the death of a Hindu ex-policeman three killers/monks and one investigation by a police officer. This study seeks to identify the literary devices used by the author to compose this wonderful effect of infinite/timeless within the universe of storytelling, your characters and their roles.
