A pesquisa apresentada neste artigo pretende evidenciar o seguinte objeto de estudo: a relação de complementaridade do Manifesto Cluetrain para o estudo dos desdobramentos da sociedade em rede na atualidade. Portanto, o objetivo da pesquisa é apresentar o Manifesto Cluetrain como aporte teórico-conceitual complementar para o estudo dos desdobramentos da sociedade em rede na atualidade na Ciência da Informação. A pesquisa é qualitativa, desenvolvida por metodologia que engloba pesquisa bibliográfica e revisão de literatura, ora sob o método rapid review, ora pelo Mapeamento Sistemático da Literatura. Nos procedimentos analíticos, utiliza a análise de conteúdo conforme as recomendações de Bardin, momento da pesquisa em que ocorre o procedimento de contagem frequencial. Enquanto resultado, a pesquisa conseguiu alcançar o objetivo, uma vez que foram identificados elementos da representação do Manifesto Cluetrain na qualidade de aporte teórico-conceitual complementar e atual para o estudo do tema sociedade em rede na Ciência da Informação. A discussão promovida trouxe luz a pontos importantes para o campo de estudo da Ciência da Informação, como as menções aos novos impactos das redes na vida das pessoas e no trabalho com a informação e o conhecimento.
The research presented in this article aims to highlight the following object of study: the relationship of complementarity of the cluetrain manifesto for the study of the unfolding of the network society today. Therefore, the objective of the research is to present the cluetrain manifesto as a complementary theoretical-conceptual contribution to the study of the unfolding of the network society today in Information Science. The research is qualitative developed using a methodology that encompasses bibliographic research and literature review either under the rapid review method, or by the Systematic Mapping of Literature. In the analytical procedures, it uses content analysis according to Bardin’s recommendations, the moment of the research in which the frequency counting procedure occurs. As a result, the research managed to achieve the objective, since were found evidence of the representation of the cluetrain manifesto as a complementary and current theoretical-conceptual contribution to the study of the theme network society in Information Science. The discussion promoted brings light to important points for the field of study of Information Science, as the mentions of the new impacts of networks on people’s lives and on working with information and knowledge.
