O presente artigo visa a apresentar fenômenos contemporâneos que, em interface com os Es-tudos da Tradução, indicam uma “Virada Multi-modal” na disciplina. Por meio de uma revisão bibliográfica de textos dos Estudos da Tradução que versam sobre as diversas viradas e também por meio de uma análise documental, objetiva--se descrever e estruturar a virada em questão, com foco mais específico nas traduções para sur-dos, cegos e surdocegos. Ainda é objetivo deste trabalho propor reflexões sobre a promoção de oportunidades equânimes através das inúmeras faces da tradução de acesso à educação, cultura e informação. A apresentação deste artigo pode agregar valores capazes de reformular espaços cristalizados e demonstra um dos grandes papéis sociais da tradução, o de modificar estruturas e redefinir paradigmas. A abordagem metodológi-ca é qualitativa, de natureza aplicada e de objeti-vo exploratório.
This paper aims to present a contemporary phenome-na that, in the interface with Translation Studies, evidence a “Multimodal Turn” in the discipline. Through a biblio-graphic review of Transla-tion Studies works that deal with the different turns and also through a documentary analysis, our objective is to describe and structure the turn in question, specifically focusing on the translation for the deaf, blind and dea-fblind. This paper also aims o propose reflections on the promotion of equal oppor-tunities through the innu-merable faces of translation for the access to education, culture and information. The publication of this paper may add value capable of re-formulating crystallized spa-ces and demonstrates one of the great social roles of translation, which can chan-ge structures and redefine paradigms. The methodolo-gical approach of this paper is qualitative, applied and exploratory.
