O objetivo deste artigo é analisar a violência contra mu-lheres no contexto da pandemia provocada pelo novo coronavírus. Como objetivos específicos busca-se identificar possíveis pistas sobre o crescimento da violência e discutir acerca de algumas das medidas que vêm sendo tomadas para o combate à violência. Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa cuja metodologia foi baseada em um levantamento de textos/artigos/produções publicados entre janeiro e setembro de 2020. Os resultados apontam para uma grande subnotificação e fatores externos que podem influenciar os homens autores de violência ao exercício desigual de poder, mas nunca justificar a violência no consumo de álcool, na crise econômica e no isolamento social. Todos esses fatores refletem o machismo estrutural que permeia nossa sociedade. Ademais, foi possível perceber, também, demora na tomada de medidas do poder público frente a essa problemática e diversas críticas sobre a ineficácia das atuações para prevenção e acolhimento de mulheres em situação de violência.
The purpose of this article is to analyze the situation of domestic violence in the context of the new coronavirus pandemic. The specific objective is to raise awareness about the possible causes of the growth in violence, and to discuss the measures that have been taken to combat this violence. It is a qualitative research article, of which the methodology was based on a literary review of texts/articles/productions published between January and September of 2020. The results point to a great underreporting, and external factors that can influence the men authors of violence to exercise unequal power, but never justify the violence in alcohol consumption, economic crises and social isolation. All of these factors reflect the structural patriarchy that exists in our society. In addition, there is also a delay in measures taken by public authorities in the face of this problem, and several criticisms about the ineffectiveness of actions taken to prevent domestic violence and support of women who are victims.
