Este estudo objetiva verificar se, em contextos sintáticos de voz média, a perífrase IR (no presente) + INFINITIVO – Cuidado! O pneu vai furar – apresenta, na expressão do futuro, as mesmas restrições sintáticas e mesmos efeitos semânticos que aparecem no passado. Para tanto, adotou-se o suporte teórico-metodológico da Semântica, em sua linha formalista (GOMES; MENDES, 2018). E, por tratar de variantes linguísticas, buscou-se um diálogo com domínios da Sociolinguística Variacionista (1972, 1994), basicamente na medida em que se investiga se o IR da perífrase já se gramaticalizou como expressão de futuro. A análise embasou-se na metodologia da Psicolinguística na Descrição Gramatical que investiga qualquer fenômeno gramatical em sua dimensão do comportamento linguístico-cognitivo do homem. As hipóteses indicadas para o estudo se confirmaram-se, quando se verificou que “IR”, na estrutura IR + INFINITIVO, expressando futuro, apresenta distinções semânticas na comparação com tempos simples no passado e no presente e apresenta completa gramaticalização; assim, IR, nas perífrases de futuridade deste estudo, não apresenta a sua semântica original de verbo pleno, não permitindo, portanto, a formação de voz média.

This study aims mainly to verify if, in syntactic contexts of middle voice, the IR periphrase (in the present) + INFINITIVE - Cuidado! O pneu vai furar – it has, in the expression of the future, the same syntactic constraints and semantic effects that appear in the past. Therefore, the theoretical-methodological support of Semantics was adopted, in its formalist line (GOMES; MENDES, 2018). And, because it deals with linguistic variants, it was sought a dialogue with domains of the Variationist Sociolinguistics (1972, 1994), basically to the extent that it is investigated if the IR of the periphrase has already grammarized as an expression of the future. The analysis was based on the methodology of Psycholinguistics in the Grammatical Description that investigates any grammatical phenomenon in its dimension of the linguistic-cognitive behavior of man. The hypotheses indicated for the study were confirmed when it was found that: IR, in the IR + INFINITIVE structure, expressing future, presents semantic distinctions compared to simple tenses in the past and present, and presents complete grammaticalization; Thus, IR, in the future periphrases of this study, does not present its original full verb semantics, thus not allowing the formation of middle voice.
