O objetivo da pesquisa é realizar uma reflexão científica sobre turismo e o espaço urbano. Por meio da busca de evidências teóricas relativas ao espaço, espaço urbano, turismo urbano, baseado em autores como Boullón, Castrogiovanni, Lynch e Lefébvre. A metodologia utilizada foi do ensaio teórico. Bulgacov (2011), afirma que o acesso ao conhecimento no Ensino e na Pesquisa, se dá por meio dos autores clássicos. Ainda que o principie se dá por meio de textos na geração do conhecimento. O ensaio deve se apoiar nos limites da epistemologia, sendo assim, obrigatória a leitura da literatura reconhecida como clássico. Ressalta-se que posicionamentos e interpretações dos autores e suas inquietações devem servir como estímulo para a leitura. Os principais resultados encontrados mostram a complexidade e a amplitude do tema e demonstram também as possibilidades de estudo e análise da temática em questão.
The objective of the research is to conduct a scientific reflection on tourism and the urban space.
