Tratamento termoterápico sobre seis cultivares de alho

O alho e uma cultivar de grande importância econômica entre as hortaliças brasileiras,
o seu cultivo é realizado por meio de bulbilhos, sendo necessário tratamento termoterápico para
induzir a vernalização do bulbo. O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar a exposição de bubilhos de
alho ao tratamento termoterápico, mantidos em geladeira a uma temperatura de 10ºC por um
período de 7, 14, 21, 28 e 35 dias antecedendo o plantio. Utilizou-se de seis variedades de alho,
sendo três nobres (Chonan, Caçador e Quitéria) e três seminobres (Gigante Roxo, Amarante e
Cateto Roxo), cultivados em latossolo roxo. Após 120 dias avaliou-se o desenvolvimento da
parte aérea, do sistema radicular e dos bulbos. Os resultados indicam que as cultivares nobres
necessitam de maior tempo de termoterapia, enquanto as cultivada seminobres não tem a mesma
exigência.

The garlic is cultivate of great economic importance between the Brazilian vegetables,
its culture is carried through by means of bulb, having been necessary thermotherapy treatment
to induce the vernalization of the bulb. The objective of this work was to evaluate the exposition
of bulb of garlic to the thermotherapy treatment, kept in 10ºC for a period of 7, 14, 21, 28 and
35 days preceding the plantation. One used of six varieties of garlic, being three noblemen
(Chonan, Caçador and Quitéria), and three seminoblemen (Gigante Roxo, Amarante and Cateto
Roxo), these had been cultivated in soil. After 120 days if it evaluated the development of the
growth shoot, the system to root and the bulbs. The results indicate that to cultivate them
noblemen needs bigger time of thermotherapy, while the cultivated one seminoble does not have
the same requirement.
