O capÃtulo está fundamentado na tese de que a oralidade deve ser objeto de atenção no ensino de lÃngua materna. Há, no entanto, várias posturas em relação ao tratamento do tema. O trabalho discute, em diferentes nÃveis de profundidade, algumas das perspectivas de estudo mais produtivas, comentando trabalhos de pesquisa na área com o objetivo de sugerir a professores de ensino médio e fundamental atividades e metodologias para abordar a questão.
This paper is based on the premise that the issue of orality must be the object of attention in mother tongue teaching. Nonetheless, there is a diversity of attitudes concerning this subject. This study discusses, in varying levels of depth, some of the most productive perspectives concerning orality. It comments on some research reports in the field in order to suggest different activities and methodologies to middle and high school teachers when handling the issue.
