Analisando o filme de Gianni Amico, Trópicos, indicamos de que modo o autor italiano
reelabora criativamente as influências do Cinema Novo. Ao aplicar o método de mediação entre estética e
história apontado por Jauss na sua teoria da recepção, buscamos delinear a perspectiva histórica com a
qual o filme é realizado, sem com isso desconsiderar os seus aspectos formais.
Resumo Inglês:
Analyzing the Gianni Amico’s film, Tropics, we indicate how the Italian author creatively
reworks the Cinema Novo’s influences. Applying the method of mediation between aesthetics and history
highlighted by Jauss in his reception theory, we try to outline the historical perspective with which the
film is done, without disregarding it’s formal aspects.
