Capsule apex and sweet potato stem extracts placed in MURASHIGE and SKOOG medium containing (in mg / l) 0.1 kinetin (kin) and 0.01 NAA (a); 1.0 kin and 0.01 NAA (b); 3.0 kin and 0.1 NAA (c) and 2.0 kin and 2.0 of 2,4-D (d) showed the following results: (a) callus with weak shoot growth; (b) callus with vigorous root growth; (cd) callus growth without morphogenesis.
