Sobre o “conceito” de vida no Nascimento da Tragédia

O objetivo deste artigo é discutir acepções do conceito de vida relacionadas à forma como Nietzsche estrutura o livro O Nascimento da Tragédia, especificamente no que diz respeito à relação entre o homem e dois planos da vida – o de existência empírica e o de fundamento metafísico (Vontade). Para tal, recorrerei à análise de alguns pontos de contato entre a hipótese desenvolvida por Nietzsche nesse livro e os pensamentos de Lange e Schopenhauer, principalmente com relação ao interesse pela metafísica. Abordarei também pontos das pesquisas de F. Schlegel e Creuzer, para salientar a importância que a mitologia – em especial o mito de Dioniso – tem para a relação que Nietzsche estabelece entre a dimensão fenomenal e a dimensão metafísica da vida, relação que se efetiva através do mito trágico.

The goal of this article is to discuss some of the meanings of the concept of life in relation to the manner by which Nietzsche structures his book The birth of tragedy, specifically regarding the relationship between men and two levels of life – one of the empirical existence and one of metaphysical ground (Will). In doing so, I will turn to the analysis of points of contact between the hypothesis developed by Nietzsche in this book and the thoughts of Lange and Schopenhauer, especially regarding metaphysical interest. I will also turn to a few points in the researches of F. Schlegel and Creuzer, in order to highlight the importance that mythology – in particular, the myth of Dionysus – has for the relationship Nietzsche establishes between the phenomenal and the metaphysical dimensions of life, a relationship that becomes most effective through the tragic myth.
