O artigo tem seu foco na função do curinga no Teatro Fórum, analisada a partir de referencial teórico do Teatro do Oprimido, e problematizada a partir de experiência prática, no contexto de uma formação feita pelo Centro de Teatro do Oprimido do Rio de Janeiro. Através da análise desta prática, busca-se ampliar os limites estabelecidos por Boal para esta figura. Duas alternativas são propostas para ampliar a eficiência política da figura do curinga, através da ampliação de suas possibilidades estéticas: o “Sistema Coringa”, proposto por Boal durante o período que atuava no Teatro de Arena, e os desafios propostos por Tim Prentki, de “enlouquecer” o curinga.

This article focuses on the role of the joker in the Theater Forum, analyzed from the theoretical framework of the Theatre of the Oppressed, and problematized by practical experience, in the context of a formation made by the Centre of Theatre of the Oppressed, in Rio de Janeiro. Through analysis of this practice, we seek to extend the limits established by Boal for this figure. Two alternatives are proposed for improving the political efficiency of the figure of the joker, by broadening their aesthetic possibilities: the “Joker System” proposed by Boal while working in the Arena Theatre; and the challenges posed by Tim Prentki, of “fooling the joker”.
