O presente texto ilumina as mensagens radiofônicas vespertinas, atualização do
milenar ritual do Angelus e da popular devoção mariana. Tais módulos apontam
para a influência da Igreja católica, sobretudo pela ação da Ordem dos
Capuchinhos, na história e na consolidação do rádio na Serra gaúcha, centro da
imigração italiana do Sul do Brasil. O recorte fez parte da pesquisa “O Rádio é a
Cidade: a Identidade do Rádio na Região Colonial Italiana do RS”, desenvolvida
pela Universidade de Caxias do Sul, com apoio da Fapergs e do CNPq, buscando
mapear as peculiaridades da radiofonia regional.



Resumo Inglês:

This text throws light on evening radio messages, an update of the millenarian
Angelus ritual and of the popular devotion to the Virgin Mary. Such modules point
out to the influence of the Catholic church, especially through the action of the
Capuchinhos Order in the history and consolidation of the radio broadcasting in the
Serra gaúcha, center of the Italian immigration in the South of Brazil. The study
perspective was part of the research “The radio is the town: radio identity in the
Italian colonial region of the State of RS”, carried put by the University of Caxias do
Sul, with the support of Fapergs and CNPq, aiming at mapping the peculiarities of
regional radiophony
