A QUESTÃO QUILOMBOLA EM ALAGOAS: RECONHECIMENTO E PARTICIPAÇÃO POLÍTICA

Este trabalho tem como pretensão analítica compreender a relação entre ‘Estruturas de Oportunidades Políticas’ e inserções sócio-políticas. Mais precisamente, essa pesquisa se volta para a comunidade remanescente de quilombola Serra das Viúvas, situada no sertão alagoano. Busca-se entender aqui, em que medida as relações contenciosas de determinados processos políticos, contribuem para a diversificação de suas inserções em diferentes espaços sociais, políticos, econômicos e profissionais. Assim, essa pesquisa tem como principal objetivo compreender a relação entre Estrutura de Oportunidades Políticas e diversificações de inserções sócio-políticas. Tais pretensões analíticas se utilizaram dos seguintes pressupostos metodológicos: Levantamento de dados secundários, como documentos oficiais, atas de reuniões, panfletos, atas, relatórios. Também se utilizou de questionário, objetivando levantar um perfil socioeconômico e político do universo pesquisado. Além de entrevistas semiestruturadas, buscando captar dados biográficos com mais intensidade e profundidade que não são possíveis em outras estratégias metodológicas acima citadas. Desse modo, o que parece acontecer é, uma redefinição dos limites relacionais entre esses agentes, onde a partir de possíveis situações conflitivas e adversas, constroem-se alternativas à tais modificações conjunturais. Esses agentes se apropriam de recursos, técnicas e habilidades ao longo de suas trajetórias, e as reconvertem em estratégias de ação para novas inserções sociais. A aproximação entre o fazer empresarial turístico e o fazer artesanal quilombola aponta para novas estratégias de ampliação de suas ações. Um dos usos desse contexto de oportunidades, é o que envolve o status de reconhecimento étnico-cultural desse grupo. A Serra das Viúvas, agora reconhecida institucionalmente enquanto a ‘Serra das Viúvas Quilombola’, passa ater um significado turístico e mercadológico, sobretudo a relação que passa a se estabelecer com o artesanato local.

This work has as analytical pretension to understand the relation between 'Structures of Political Opportunities' and socio-political insertions. More precisely, this research turns to the remaining community of quilombola Widows’s saw, located in the backlands of Alagoas. It seeks to understand here, to what extent the contentious relations of certain political processes, contribute to the diversification of their insertions in different social, political, economic and professional spaces. OBJECTIVE: The main objective of this research is to understand the relationship between the Structure of Political Opportunities and the diversification of socio-political insertions. METHODOLOGY: The following methodological assumptions were used: A) Survey of secondary data, such as official documents, minutes of meetings, pamphlets, minutes, reports. B) Questionnaire, aiming at raising a socioeconomic and political profile of the universe researched. C) Semi-structured interviews, seeking to capture biographical data with more intensity and depth that are not possible in other methodological strategies mentioned above. CONCLUSIONS: What seems to happen is a redefinition of the relational boundaries between these agents, where, from possible conflicting and adverse situations, alternatives to such conjunctural modifications are constructed. These agents appropriate resources, techniques and skills along their trajectories, and reconvert them into action strategies for new social insertions. The approximation between the tourist business and the artisan quilombola make point to new strategies to expand its actions. One of the uses of this context of opportunities is what involves the status of ethnic-cultural recognition of that group. The Serra das Widows, now recognized institutionally as the ‘Widows’s saw Quilombola', now has a tourist and marketing significance, especially the relationship that begins to establish with local crafts
