O Estado futuro é pensado por Weil no final de sua Filosofia política (1956), junto à ideia de Estado mundial. No presente artigo, procuramos apresentar o conceito de Estado futuro a partir do fim do Estado nacional, anunciado na obra Hegel e o Estado (1950). O Estado futuro deve ser pensado como um Estado pós-comunista e pós-capitalista, centrado na amizade e na vida virtuosa, depois da falência do Estado liberal moderno. Ele é o Estado verdadeiro, responsável pelo Sentido na história.

The Future State is thought by Weil at the end of his Political Philosophy (1956), along with the idea of World State. In this article, we seek to present the concept of Future State from the end of the National State, announced in the work Hegel and the State (1950). The Future State should be thought of as a Post-Communist State and Post-Capitalist State, centered on friendship and virtuous life, after the failure of the Modern Liberal State. It is the True State, responsible for Sense in history.
