Projeto Jovem Profissional Feevale: utilização de redes sociais na web como estímulo à interação e ao aprendizado

Este trabalho apresenta um estudo de caso sobre a utilização de redes sociais na comunicação mediada por computador por uma turma de alunos que estão sendo capacitados para o mercado de trabalho, através do projeto Jovem Profissional Feevale. Os participantes são jovens entre 15 e 21 anos, provenientes de famílias de baixa renda, em situação de vulnerabilidade social e estudantes do Ensino Médio de três escolas públicas do município de Campo Bom/RS. A turma, composta por 20 alunos, iniciou as atividades conhecendo os recursos básicos do computador e pacotes de aplicativos para escritório, evoluindo para a utilização da Internet. Com o decorrer do curso, incrementou-se o aspecto interacionista através da utilização de ferramentas da web 2.0, mais especificamente, ferramentas presentes em redes sociais na Internet, adotadas como estímulo à interação entre os participantes do projeto e servindo de apoio ao aprendizado e à aquisição do conhecimento. O período de observação das atividades da turma foi de 40 dias e os resultados obtidos sinalizaram no sentido de que a utilização das ferramentas interativas presentes em redes sociais podem ser utilizadas com dois enfoques principais: a) na socialização dos jovens, mais notadamente em relação àqueles de comportamento mais introspectivo, aos quais a virtualização permitiu maior liberdade de expressão e b) na aquisição de habilidades e competências técnicas úteis quando do ingresso no mercado de trabalho, como a correta utilização do computador, a troca de informações no trabalho em equipe e rápida adaptação ao manuseio de diferentes softwares. Finalizamos considerando que houve indicativos de que o uso de redes sociais e de blogs favoreceu a interação desse grupo de estudantes, significando a possibilidade de que essas habilidades se estendam à sua futura área profissional, favorecendo o desempenho social e técnico desses jovens, quando do ingresso no mercado de trabalho.

This paper presents a case study about the social networks’ usage in the computer mediated
communication by a group of students that are being prepared to the labour market through
the Jovem Profissional Feevale project. The subjects of the research are young boys and girls
aged between 15-21 years, from poor families in situation of social vulnerability, high school
students from three public schools of the city of Campo Bom, Rio Grande do Sul. The group,
with 20 students, started their studies in the Project learning the basic resources of computers
and being trained to operate software of common use in offices, increasing this learning with
the use of the internet. During the course, the interactionist aspect was increased through the
usage of web 2.0 tools, more specifically resources located in the social networks on the web.
These resources were adopted as a stimulus to interaction among the students and used to help
the learning and knowledge acquisition. The observation time was of 40 days and the results
point that the use of social network’s interactive tools can be used with two focuses: a) in thesocialization of the young students, more specifically those that present an introspective
behavior, to whom the virtualization of activities gives more freedom of expression and b) in
the acquiring of skills and technical competences useful when they enter the labour market,
like the correct usage of computers, the exchange of information in team work) and the quick
adaptation in the usage of different software. We conclude that there were indications that the
use of social networks and blogs have favored the interaction of this group of students,
meaning the possibility of extending these skills to their future professional fields, favoring
the social and technical performance of young students when they join the labour market.
