Oobjetivodesteestudofoicompreenderoperfildegêneroeidadedosusuáriosdosserviçosambulatoriaisdeumhospitalpúblico.Gêneroeidadesãoelementosfundamentaisparaaconstruçãodepolíticaspúblicasemnívellocaleregional.Foirealizadaumacoletadedadosretrospectivadetrêsanosreferenteàidadeesexodapopulaçãodoambulatórioedoprontosocorroentre2013e2015.Éumapesquisacomabordagemquantitativarealizadapormeiodetrêsbasesdedadosnoperíododejaneirode2013adezembrode2015,totalizando460.505atendimentos.Abasededadosdohospitalfoiadotadacomofonteprimária,tambémfoiconsultadaabasededadosdosdoisúltimoscensosdoInstitutoBrasileirodeGeografiaeEstatística(IBGE)eabasededadosdaDivisãoRegionaldeSaúde.Ocruzamentodedados,pormeiodoMicrosoftExceledosoftwareOnlineAnalyticalProcessing(OLAP),permitiuaconstruçãodeumgráficoestruturadoporgêneroeidadedeacordocomospadrõesdefinidospeloIBGEem2010,bemcomoacomparaçãoentreidadeegêneroeperfildapopulaçãototalatendida.Opúblicofemininorepresenta60,5%dosatendimentos,enquantoapopulaçãomasculinarespondepor39,5%.Apenasnasfaixasetárias de0a14e85a89anosopúblicomasculinoémaior.Adiferençanoatendimentoseacentuanomeiodapirâmide,nasfaixasentre30e69anos,períodoemqueasmulheressãoresponsáveispor65,5%dosatendimentoscontra34,5%doshomens.Essasdiferençasproporcionaisdegênerosãomantidasnapopulaçãototal,aúnicavariaçãosignificativaénafaixaetáriaapartirde80anosonde,emboraocorraamaioriafemininadeusuários,ocorretambémamaioriafemininanapopulação.Estudosmostramqueasmulheresfazemmaisreferênciasaosproblemasdesaúdedoqueoshomens,poisestesrepresentam,segundooimagináriomasculinoavirilidadeeaforça,nãorepresentandovulnerabilidadeàsdoenças.Oshomensnãosereconhecemcomoalvosdoscuidadosemsaúdeetêmmenorprobabilidadedeprocurarosserviçosdesaúdeporquestõesculturais,principalmente,abrindoespaçoparaadiscussãosobreasdesigualdadessociaisemsaúdeentrehomensemulheres.

Thegoalofthisstudywastounderstandthegenderandageprofileoftheusersofambulatoryservicesatpublichospital.Genderandagearefundamentalelementsfortheconstructionofpublicpoliciesatlocalandregionallevel.Weperformeda3-yearretrospectivedatacollection,regardingageandgenderofthepopulationoftheoutpatientclinicofthepublichospitalbetween2013and2015.Itisaresearchwithquantitativeapproachperformedthroughthreedatabasesfromjanuary2013toDecember2015totaling460.505consultations.Thedatabaseofthepublichospitalwasadoptedastheprimarysource,itwasalsoconsultedthedatabaseofthelasttwocensusesoftheBrazilianInstituteofGeographyandStatistics(IBGE)andthedatabaseoftheRegionalHealthDivision.Thecross-checkingofdata,throughMicrosoftExcelandtheOnlineAnalyticalProcessing(OLAP)software,allowedtheconstructionofagraphstructuredbygenderandageaccordingtothestandardsdefinedbyIBGEon2010,aswellasthecomparisonbetweenageandgenderprofileofthetotalpopulationattendedbypublichospitalanditsconsultations.Thefemaleaudiencerepresents60.5%oftheattendances,whilethemalepopulationaccountsfor39.5%.Onlyintheagegroupsbetween0and14and85to89yearsthemaleaudienceislarger.Thedifferenceincareisaccentuatedinthemiddleofthepyramid,intherangesbetween30and69years,duringwhichtimewomenareresponsiblefor65.5%oftheattendancesagainst34.5%ofmen.Suchgenderproportionaldifferencesaremaintainedonthetotalpopulation,theonlysignificantvariationisontheagegroupfrom80andolderwherealthoughthereisafemalemajorityofusers,thereisalsoalargerfemalemajorityonthepopulation.Studiesshowthatwomenmakemorereferencestohealthproblemsthanmen,astheserepresent,accordingtothemaleimagination,virilityandstrength,notrepresentingvulnerabilitytothedisease.Mendonotrecognizethemselvesastargetsofhealthcareandtheyarelesslikelytoseekhealthservicesforculturalreasons,mainly,openingspacefordiscussionaboutsocialinequalitiesinhealthbetweenmenandwomen.
