Realizaram-se ensaios, entre 2021 e 2023, em blocos completos casualizados, para estudo do comportamento de duas cultivares de morangueiro, uma importada – “Diamante”- e outra de origem local -“Morango do Huambo”-, plantadas em março de 2021. Os ensaios foram replicados em dois locais da Província do Huambo – Ndango e Huambo Sede. Avaliaram-se o vigor vegetativo inicial, o desenvolvimento e adaptabilidade das plantas, a capacidade reprodutiva e o rendimento e evolução da produtividade por planta. A cultivar importada “Diamante” foi a que apresentou maior produtividade por planta, tendo atingido um máximo de 390 g/planta cinco vezes superior a produtividade máxima de 64 g/planta obtida pela cultivar local.
In the 2021/23 agricultural yeares, a randomized complete block was used to study the behavior of two cultivars of strawberry, one imported – “Diamante” – and another of local origin – “Strawberry of Huambo” – planted in March of 2021. The trials were replicated at two locations in the Province of Huambo – Ndango and Huambo Sede. The initial vegetative vigor, the development and adaptability of the plants, the reproductive capacity and the yield and evolution of the productivity per plant were evaluated. The “Diamante” cultivar was the one with the highest productivity per plant, reaching a maximum of 390 g / plant five times the maximum yield of 64 g / plant obtained by the local cultivar.
