A sociedade informacional e as novas tecnologias da comunicação proporcionaram um avanço no acesso e difusão de conhecimento pa­ ra a população. Com elas, há um acréscimo qua­ litativo do fluxo informacional, porém, valores caros à sociedade também entram em conflito. Nos últimos anos, as tecnologias se populariza­ ram e, com isso, há uma diminuição severa da esfera privada nas relações interpessoais com a constante necessidade de compartilhamento da vida própria e alheia por meio das redes sociais e pela Internet. Diante da complexidade das ques­ tões pertinentes ao ambiente digital somado à necessidade de proteção da privacidade, deseja contribuir com o estudo dessa nova Lei que, sem dúvidas, traz avanços, mas apresenta insuficiên­ cias, como se demonstra neste.

The society of information and the new technologies of communication provided an ad­ vance in the access and diffusion of knowledge to the population. With them, there is a quali­ tative increase in the information flux, however, expensive costs to society also collide. ln the last years those technologi es have become popular and with that, there is a significant decrease in the private sphere of interpersonal relationships with the constant need to share one's life and others through social media and the Internet. ln face of the complexity of pertinent questions regarding the digital environment added to the need of privacy protection, wishes to contribute with the study of this new Law that, without a doubt, bring advances, but presents shortcom­ ings, as it is demonstrated.
