PRIMEIRA EXPERIÊNCIA COM A CONSTRUÇÃO DE GRÁFICO: OS ANIMAIS DE ESTIMAÇÃO DOS ALUNOS DO 1º. ANO DO ENSINO FUNDAMENTAL

Com o objetivo de estudar Estatística, numa perspectiva de letramento, foi criado em Setembro de 2010 nas Faculdades Atibaia (FAAT), um grupo de estudos, coordenado por Keli Cristina Conti, do qual fazem parte professores da escola Básica e alunos do curso de Pedagogia da instituição. Motivados pelas discussões e apresentações de trabalhos no grupo, propusemos uma atividade para uma turma do 1.º ano do Ensino Fundamental de uma escola particular de Atibaia (SP). Para o planejamento da aula, nos baseamos nos Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais - PCN (BRASIL, 1997), visto que apresentam o bloco de conteúdos chamado “Tratamento da Informação” que contempla o estudo da Estatística. A aula teve como tema os “animais de estimação” e como objetivos levar os alunos a: conhecer o gráfico de colunas, bem como saber interpretá-lo; contar e comparar números resultantes da contagem utilizando as informações do gráfico; conhecer a escrita do nome dos animais, abordando vogais e consoantes e a separação silábica. Descrevemos as etapas desenvolvidas com a turma como a apresentação da temática, a elaboração do gráfico, sua interpretação e a construção de uma tabela. Acreditamos que pudemos proporcionar um bom contato inicial com a Estatística, incentivando os alunos a perceber o contexto a seu redor, levantar hipóteses, coletar os dados, organizá-los (tratando-os) e lendo-os e interpretando-os quando organizados em um gráfico e em uma tabela. Podemos considerar que a escolha da temática também foi importante, buscando partir do interesse e da “vida real”, incentivando os alunos a observarem os fenômenos que ocorrem à sua volta.

FIRST EXPERIENCE WITH THE CONSTRUCTION OF GRAPHICS: THE PETS OF FIRST YEAR OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS With the purpose of studying statistical from a perspective of literacy, a group of studies coordinated by teacher Keli Cristina Conti was created in September 2010 in College Atibaia (FAAT). Teachers of Elementary School and Pedagogy students of the institution are part of the group. Motivated by the discussions and presentations of the group works, we have proposed an activity to a first grade of Elementary School class in a private school in Atibaia (São Paulo State). The planning of the class was based on the Brazilian National Curriculum Parameters – PCN (BRASIL, 1997) since there is the block of content called "Information Treatment", including the study of statistics. The class was entitled "pets" and its objectives were: leading students to know a column chart and know how to interpret it; counting and comparing numbers resulting from the counting using graphic information; writing the names of animals, working the vowels and consonants and syllabic separation. We described the steps developed with the class, such as the presentation of the theme, graphing, elaboration and its interpretation and construction of a table. We believe that we could provide a good initial contact with the statistics, encouraging students to observe, make hypotheses, collect data, organize them (treating them) and read and interpret them when arranged in a graphic and a table. We believe that the choice of the theme was also important, based on interest and "real life" by encouraging students to observe phenomena that occur around them.
