Prezada Cora Coralina, vamos falar dos sertões?

Sertão constituiu uma classe da localização geográfica desde que Pedro Álvares Cabral e suas caravelas estiveram na Terra de Vera Cruz, em meados do século XVI. Já nesse tempo houve o registro desse espaço através da carta do escriba da frota cabralina. Talvez por isto, os estudos sobre os sertões brasileiros, continuaram a usar, hegemonicamente, a escrita masculina como fonte de pesquisa. Assim sendo, este trabalho pretendeu fazer um giro contrário e mostrar a poética dos sertões brasileiros através da literatura escrita por mulheres. Foram analisadas poesias de autoras consideradas representantes do sertão de dentro e dos sertões de fora, cuja poesia foi publicada em diferentes suportes: livro e em fanzine. A análise seguiu as diretrizes propostas por Vernaide Wanderley e Eugênia Meneses. A escrita do trabalho seguiu um modelo de carta, tendo por destinatária a poeta Cora Coralina. Através dessa correspondência epistolar mostrou-se as nuances dos diferentes sertões que, ora é um lugar de poder, ora um entre-lugar, ora é um “self”, ora constitui os quatro elementos, bem como pode ser representado por cheiros, sabores e odores. Portanto, os sertões são polissêmicos, indo além de um espaço e um lugar de memórias e afetos.

“Sertão” constituted a class of geographic location since Pedro Álvares Cabral and his caravels were in “Terra de Vera Cruz”, in the middle of the 16th century. Already at that time there was a record of this space through the letter of the scribe of the Cabralina 昀氀eet. Perhaps for this reason, studies on the Brazilian hinterlands continued to use, hegemonically, male writing as a source of research. Therefore, this work intended to take a di昀昀erent turn and show the poetics of the Brazilian hinterlands through literature written by women. Poetry by authors considered to be representatives of the interior and the interior hinterlands, whose poetry was published in di昀昀erent media: book and fanzine, was analyzed. The analysis followed the guidelines proposed by Vernaide Wanderley and Eugênia Meneses. The writing of the work followed a letter model, addressed to the poet Cora Coralina. Through this epistolary correspondence, the nuances of the di昀昀erent hinterlands were shown, which is sometimes a place of power, sometimes an in-between, sometimes comprising the four elements, as well as being represented by smells, 昀氀avors and odors. Therefore, the “sertões” are polysemic, going beyond a space and a place of memories and a昀昀ections.
