PRÁTICA ACADÊMICA DOS ESTUDANTES COM O USO DAS TECNOLOGIAS DA INFORMAÇÃO E COMUNICAÇÃO

Com os recentes avanços tecnológicos e a transformação do ambiente acadêmico que passou a adotar o estilo digital a partir do uso das Tecnologias da Informação e Comunicação (TIC), observa-se que para ocorrer a aquisição do conhecimento é necessário o desenvolvimento de novos comportamentos de aprendizagem. A habilidade para utilizar as TIC no contexto educacional é denominada por technology literacy ou alfabetização tecnológica. O objetivo deste estudo é verificar se as habilidades no uso das TIC influenciam o desempenho dos estudantes. O método utilizado foi a pesquisa bibliográfica. As análises indicaram que no presente séc. XXI o ambiente educacional passou a apresentar grande disponibilidade de recursos tecnológicos. Constatou-se que em função do uso de mídias digitais houve um aumento na demanda de habilidades cognitivas dos alunos, para absorver e processar as informações. Verificou-se que com base nas recomendações da International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) as escolas precisam criar oportunidade para que os alunos usem regularmente os recursos das TIC. Os resultados identificados poderão ampliar o conhecimento sobre alfabetização tecnológica e apresentar informações que colaborem com a melhoria dos processos educacionais e de outros contextos sociais que sejam baseados no uso das TIC. O estudo atingiu o seu propósito, pois permitiu identificar a relevância das habilidades dos estudantes para fazer uso das TIC no contexto acadêmico e que isso pode influenciar significativamente o processo de ensino-aprendizagem. Porém, recomenda-se a realização de outras investigações em variadas instituições de ensino com a aplicação de pesquisas de campo.

With the recent technological advances and the transformation of the academic environment that has adopted the digital style from the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), it is observed that the acquisition of knowledge requires the development of new behaviors of learning. The ability to use ICT in the educational context is called technology literacy. The aim of this study is to verify if ICT skills influence student performance. The method used was the literature search. The analyzes indicated that in the present century XXI the educational environment began to present great availability of technological resources. It was found that due to the use of digital media there was an increased demand for students' cognitive skills to absorb and process information. It has been found that based on International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) recommendations schools need to create opportunities for students to regularly use ICT resources. The identified results may broaden the knowledge on technological literacy and present information that collaborate with the improvement of the educational processes and other social contexts that are based on the use of ICT. The study achieved its purpose because it identified the relevance of students' abilities to use ICT in the academic context and that this can significantly influence the teaching-learning process. However, it is recommended to carry out other investigations in various educational institutions with the application of field research.
