Possibilidades pedagógicas da educação patrimonial no município de Itaara, RS

O presente trabalho é parte do projeto: “Educação Patrimonial no Município de Itaara,
RS: Resgate do Patrimônio Cultural e inserção do tema no currículo escolar”, que foi uma
solicitação da Prefeitura do município de Itaara, implementado partir de junho do ano de
2006, através de um convenio entre a Universidade Federal de Santa Maria e a Prefeitura
Municipal de Itaara.
O município de Itaara emancipou-se de Santa Maria no ano de 1997, e entre os
principais antecedentes históricos do município podemos citar: A chegada de Imigrantes
alemães em meados do Século XIX e a Estação Pinhal da viação férrea, referente ao final do
século XIX. O Assentamento dos imigrantes na Fazenda Philippson no início do século XX
que é um marco da colonização judaica no Estado.

Resumo Inglês:

The present work is part of the Project: “Heritage Education in the Municipal District of
Itaara, State of Rio Grande do Sul: Rescue of Cultural Heritage and insertion of the topic in
school curriculum”, which was a request from the city hall of Itaara, implemented as of June
of 2006, through an agreement between the Federal University of Santa Maria and the city hall of Itaara. The emancipation of the Municipal District of Itaara from Santa Maria was in
the year of 1997, and among the major historical precedents of this municipal district, can be
mentioned: the arriving of German immigrants in the mid-nineteenth century and the railway
station of Pinhal, covering the late nineteenth century. The settlement of immigrants in the
Philippson Farm in the early twentieth century is a mark of the Jewish settlement in the state.
