A possível influência da Teologia Latino-Americana na composição da Laudato Si’

O Magistério da Igreja Católica, agora liderado pelo primeiro Papa sul-americano da história, parece estar mais atento aos impulsos vindos do Terceiro Mundo. Este artigo buscou mostrar a importância da Teologia Latino-Americana para os dias atuais, identificando alguns temas e métodos caraterizados por integrarem o escopo da Teologia da Libertação e da Teología del Pueblo, com as temáticas e a abordagem da Carta Encíclica Laudato Si’, do Papa Francisco. Foram escolhidos como elementos característicos das Teologias Latino-Americanas: o método “Ver-Julgar-Agir”, a opção preferencial pelos pobres e a revalorização das culturas dos povos originários.

The Magisterium of the Catholic Church, now led by the first South American Pope in history, seems to be more attentive to the impulses coming from the Third World. This article sought to show the importance of Latin American Theology to the present day, identifying some themes and methods characterized by integrating the scope of Liberation Theology and Theology of the People, with the themes and approach of the Encyclical Letter Laudato Si’, from Pope Francis. As characteristic elements of Latin American theologies, the "See-Judge-Act" method was chosen, the preferential option for the poor and the revaluation of the cultures of the original peoples.
