Este artigo tem como objetivo trazer para análise os desa fios que o assistente social encontra, atualmente, no seu cotidiano de trabalho dentro da política de saúde.
Com esse intuito,destaca-se as interferências neoliberais em tal âmbito,a partir dos anos 1990, uma vez que essa situação perpassa desde o
processo de formação universitária do assistente social até o seu dia a dia de trabalho, resultando em desafios para o fazer profissional dentro da referida política.
Para a construção desse debate, fez -senecessário conhecer o processo de construção da política de saúde contemporânea,bem como o processo de inserção e atuação
do profissional de Serviço Social nesse campo.A construção dessa pesquisa se deu por meio do estudo de artigos científicos, livros e documentos da área do Serviço Social e pela leitura de leis e documentos de programas nacionais
da política de saúde.A análise possibilitou uma compreensão mais ampla acercados desafios que circunscrevem o cotidiano profissional do assistente social dentro da política de saúde,
demarcando como eles se engendram e se articulam,interferindo no dia a dia de trabalho.Por fim, são destacadas formas possíveis
de se posicionar contra o fortalecimento dessa situação.
This paper has the aim of analyzing the challenges social workers currently have to deal with in their work routine in the publicly funded health care
system of Brazil. To do so, first we underline the interferences of neoliberalism in the
health care public system since the 1990s, following it at university, during the formal
training in Social Work, and as it continues in the daily work routine inside the public
system, imposing challenges for the adequate rofessional practice in this field,according to the health policy guidelines. In order to develop this discussion, it was necessary to understand how policies structured the health care public system
currently in place, as well as the process that associated professionals of Social Work with the health policy in Brazil and how they work. The investigation was based
on the review of research papers, books and social work resolutions, along with the national legislation and official documents of programs
of the Brazilian heal th policy.The analysis enabled a broader understanding of the issues challenging the work routine of social workers in the health care public syst em, how they are engendered
and articulated, and how they interfere with the public delivery of care.
Finally,possible ways of standing against the strengthening of this situation are highlighted.
