Chagas, este ensaio pretendeu mostrar a sua versatilidade no folhetim-crônica.
Embora algumas passagens ainda indiquem um tom melodramático, em sua
maioria, a composição da Revista da Semana apresenta um jogo textual
intrigante, na medida em que seu autor retira o mote para suas crônicas de
gêneros textuais e discursos não convencionais à área literária.

Among the various literary activities that engaged Pinheiro
Chagas, this paper intended to show his versatility in serial-chronic. Although
some passages still indicate a melodramatic tone, mostly the composition of the
Revista da Semana presents an interesting text, in that its author founds the
theme for his chronicles of genres and unconventional speeches to the literary
field.
