PERSPECTIVAS PARA A EDUCAÇÃO A DISTÂNCIA NO BRASIL: referenciais de qualidade, releituras e trajetórias

Resumo Português:

Esse texto tem como objetivo discutir a prática educativa tendo como foco a
educação a distância. Essa modalidade de educação é aqui pensada na sua
especificidade enquanto uma prática que tem como um de seus grandes
desafios o distanciamento físico entre educadores e educandos, mas que tem
um grande potencial na construção de sujeitos críticos, criativos, politicamente
engajados e capazes de promover a mudança social. Todavia, para que essa
mudança aconteça, os sujeitos envolvidos com a EaD devem estar imbuídos
da tentativa de construir essa transformação por meio da educação e um dos
caminhos é refletir continuamente sobre o seu fazer-se como educador, seja na
modalidade presencial ou à distância. Procuramos aqui pensar nas múltiplas
faces da EaD, propondo uma reflexão que contemple aspectos que
consideramos ser relevantes para os sujeitos que lidam com essa modalidade.
Nesse sentido, discutimos a legislação que regulamenta a EaD, uma vez que
ela é um direcionamento do processo educativo; colocamos em discussão os
problemas que a afligem, o seu processo de expansão na atualidade, os
referenciais de qualidade – como, por exemplo, as tecnologias, o material
didático, a avaliação – , as suas potencialidades educacionais e formativas,
bem como as interpretações e leituras feitas pelos envolvidos na EaD.

Perspectives of distance education in Brazil: quality references, rereadings
and trajectories
This text aims to discuss the educative practice focusing on the distance
education. This modality of education is thought here on its specificities as a
practice that has as one of its great challenges the physical distance between
educators and learners, but that has a great potential on the formation of
critical, creative and politically engaged subjects who are able to promote the
social change. However, for this change to happen the subjects involved with
the distance education (DE) must be imbued with the attempt of building this
transformation through the education, and one of the ways to do that is to reflect
continuously about their work as educators, both in presence and distance
modality. We tried to think about the multiple facets of DE, proposing a
reflection that covers aspects that we consider to be relevant to the subjects
that deal with this modality. Moreover, the legislation that regulates DE, since it
is a direction of the educational process; the problems that afflict itself; its
expansion process in the present; the references of quality – as, for example,
the technologies, the didactic material, the evaluation –; its education and
formative potentialities, as well as the interpretations and readings done by
those involved in the DE are discussed.
