Este artigo propõe algumas reflexões sobre cultura, patrimônio e suas categorias, enfatizando a de bem imaterial. Busca analisar a relação entre turismo, patrimônio e sociedade, abordar a categoria patrimônio imaterial no estado de Alagoas a partir de uma análise argumentativa sobre um estudo: o levantamento de fontes do patrimônio imaterial de Alagoas, elaborado por um grupo formado de pesquisadores (docentes) da Universidade Federal de Alagoas – UFAL, alunos bolsistas e corpo técnico que buscou recensear fontes disponíveis sobre os saberes e os fazeres alagoanos, revelando a amplitude cultural da terra dos marechais. A partir do que as políticas públicas do patrimônio vigentes entendem como patrimônio imaterial, e através do referido levantamento, propomo-nos a refletir sobre o papel do antropólogo nesse processo.



Resumo Inglês:

This article proposes some reflections about culture, patrimony and its categories, emphasizing the one of immaterial goodness. It seeks to analyze the relationship between tourism, heritage and society, to approach the category intangible heritage in the state of Alagoas from an argumentative analysis on a study: the survey of sources of intangible heritage of Alagoas, prepared by a group of researchers (teachers) of the Federal University of Alagoas – UFAL, scholarship students and technical staff that sought to census available sources on the knowledge and practices of Alagoas, revealing the cultural breadth of the marshals. Based on what the current public policies of heritage understand as immaterial patrimony, and through this survey, we propose to reflect on the anthropologist's role in this process.
