Este texto pretende demonstrar, através da análise de entrevistas realizadas com 11 mulheres que freqüentam, atualmente, a Catedral Metropolitana de Florianópolis, como elas, através dos seus discursos, se percebem e atuam dentro da Igreja Católica, constituindo-se em um grupo religioso em busca de fé e sociabilidade e que, ao mesmo tempo, rediscute a importância da legitimidade da presença feminina nessa instituição.

This text intends to demonstrate, through the analysis of interviews accomplished with 11 women that frequent, now, the Metropolitan Cathedral of Florianópolis, like them, through their speeches, they are noticed and they act inside of the Catholic Church, being constituted in a religious group in search of faith and sociability and that, at the same time, they discuss the importance of the legitimacy of the feminine presence in that institution.
