Teme-se que o verdadeiro ideal de democracia, nunca tenha se concretizado e isso está diretamente relacionado à questão da identidade. A aplicabilidade do direito à igualdade entre os gêneros na política representa um grande desafio, pois apesar das lutas travadas ao longo dos tempos e, por conseguinte, a conquista de garantias, a igualdade ainda não é plenamente garantia às mulheres. Diante da ausência de efetividade das políticas afirmativas que assegurem a participação das mulheres na política brasileira, é necessário refletir sobre quais seriam os possíveis entraves à plena representatividade feminina na política nacional? Dentre outras constatações o presente artigo contribui com o debate, diante do resultado e da confirmação da hipótese trabalho, concluindo que se trata de um problema estrutural, que precisa ser tratado e resolvido em suas raízes. Para tanto, utilizou-se o método hipotético-dedutivo.

It is feared that the true ideal of democracy has never materialized and this is directly related to the question of identity. The applicability of the right to equality between genders in politics represents a great challenge, because despite the struggles fought over time and, therefore, the achievement of guarantees, equality is still not fully guaranteed to women. Given the lack of effectiveness of affirmative policies that ensure the participation of women in Brazilian politics, it is necessary to reflect on what are the possible obstacles to full female representation in national politics? Among other findings, this article contributes to the debate, given the result and confirmation of the working hypothesis, concluding that it is a structural problem that needs to be addressed and resolved at its roots. For that, the hypothetical-deductive method was used.
