O transplante de medula óssea (TMO) é um procedimento médico complexo utilizado atualmente no tratamento de uma série de enfermidades graves. É indicado no tratamento de patologias malignas ou não, modificando o prognóstico do paciente em questão. Porém, não é um método plenamente resolutivo, podendo curar o paciente ou levá-lo a morte. Este estudo tem como objetivos a elucidação dos principais conceitos relacionados ao tema e a identificação de um planejamento assistencial do enfermeiro que contemple a etapa de pós TMO. Os resultados obtidos relacionam a fase do pós-transplante às necessidades específicas dos pacientes e o plano assistencial de enfermagem, evidenciando a necessidade de um suporte profissional que englobe os âmbitos social e psicológico do paciente.

The transplantation of bone marrow (BMT) is a complex medical procedure currently used in the treatment of a range of serious illnesses. It is indicated for the treatment of malignant diseases or not, changing the prognosis of the patient in question. However, it is not a method fully resolutivo and may cure the patient or cause him to death. This study has as its objectives the elucidation of the main concepts related to the topic and the identification of a planning assistance of the nurse which includes the stage of post BMT. The results relate to the post-transplant phase to the specific needs of patients and the nursing care plan, highlighting the need for a professional support involving the social and psychological aspects of the patient.
