Organização harmônica na seção inicial da peça para piano “O Passarinho de pano” de Villa-Lobos

O seguinte estudo é parte integrante de minha pesquisa de mestrado na linha de Técnicas Composicionais e Questões Interpretativas, na qual a obra O Passarinho de Pano, da Prole do Bebê Nº 2 de Villa-Lobos, assume papel de destaque. Processos analíticos que envolvem a investigação de elementos articuladores de forma (formantes), textura, organização harmônica e relações intervalares deverão trazer à luz determinados procedimentos utilizados por Villa-Lobos na elaboração de uma de suas mais significativas e instigantes peças para piano. Especificamente para este capítulo, foi utilizada como metodologia a Teoria dos Conjuntos, bastante apropriada na análise de obras musicais de natureza não- -tonal, na qual se insere nosso objeto de pesquisa. Como resultado pudemos comprovar a preferência do compositor por elementos de estruturação ligados a processos de simetria, fato este que contribui para desmistificar certas argumentações relacionadas à sua falta de técnica como compositor. The following study is part of my research that is being held in the line of compositional techniques and interpretive questions in which the piece “The Little Cloth Bird” of “Prole do Bebe No 2 by Villa-Lobos plays an important role. Analytical procedures that involve the investigation of articulating elements of shape (formants), texture, harmonic organization and relationships between intervals should bring to light certain procedures used by Villa- -Lobos in preparing one of his most significant and exciting piano pieces. Specifically for this chapter was used as methodology the Set Theory, well suited to the analysis of non- -tonal musical works. As a result we could prove the composer’s preference for structuring elements linked to cases of symmetry, a fact that helps to demystify some arguments related to their lack of technique as a composer.

Analytical procedures that involve the investigation of articulating elements of shape (formants), texture, harmonic organization and relationships between intervals should bring to light certain procedures used by Villa- -Lobos in preparing one of his most significant and exciting piano pieces.
