O Tratamento radioterápico para o câncer do colo do útero: sentimentos e percepções de mulheres idosas

O estudo tem como objeto, sentimentos de mulheres idosas com câncer do colo do útero frente ao tratamento de radioterapia. O objetivo foi conhecer os sentimentos dessas mulheres frente ao tratamento radioterápico, tendo como objetivo específico: descrever esses sentimentos. A investigação foi desenvolvida na enfermaria da radioterapia do Hospital de referência para o tratamento do câncer, na cidade de Itabuna, Estado da Bahia. Os sujeitos foram seis idosas com diagnóstico de câncer do colo do útero, internadas na referida instituição. A coleta de dados foi realizada através de entrevista semi-estruturada, tendo como questões norteadoras: exame preventivo e sua continuidade no tempo, consciência do tratamento, início do tratamento radioterápico, tempo de aplicações, o que sente e pensa sobre o tratamento (aplicações), como tem sido a vida, a partir do tratamento. Os resultados mostraram a realidade vivida pelas mulheres que têm pouca ou nenhuma informação sobre a doença, o diagnóstico tardio, a falta de esclarecimento sobre o tratamento empregado e a saudade pela separação dos familiares. A fé foi o sentimento mais comum entre as entrevistadas, seguido da tristeza e do medo. Todos os sentimentos observados vinham em um misto de saudades dos familiares e dos lares.

The study has as object, senior women's feelings with cancer of the lap of the uterus front
to the radiotherapy treatment. The objective was to know the feelings of those women front to the treatment radiotherapy; as specifi c objective; to describe those feelings. The investigation was developed in the infi rmary of the radiotherapy of the reference Hospital for the treatment of the cancer, in the city of Itabuna, in the state of Bahia. The subjects were six senior with diagnosis of cancer of the lap of the uterus, that you/they were interned in the referred institution. The collection of data was accomplished through semi-structured interview, I tend six subjects toreadors: You always made preventive exam; You always made preventive exam; Why you know he/she is making that treatment; When you began the radiotherapy treatment is how long the you are making the applications; What do you sit down / does he/she think on that treatment? (about the applications). I broke HER then, as it has been your life, later analyzed. The results showed the reality lived by the women that have little or any information on the disease, the late diagnosis, the explanation lack about the employed treatment and the longing for having to be separate from the family. The faith was the most common feeling, followed by the sadness and of the fear. All the observed feelings came in a mixed of the relatives' longings and of the homes.
