O presente trabalho objetiva fazer uma leitura de Retrato do artista quando jovem (de James Joyce) e Ciranda de pedra (de Lygia Fagundes Telles), na perspectiva do desenvolvimento e formação intelectual dos dois jovens protagonistas, em suas confluentes caracterizações. Por serem romances que se aproximam de Os anos de aprendizado de Wilhelm Meister, de Goethe, as obras são identificadas como desdobramento do Bildungsroman, gênero que se consolidou ao longo dos séculos. Contudo, observo que expressam diferenças significativas em suas constituições por seus autores pertencerem a contextos distintos.
The present work aims to make a reading of Retrato do artista quando jovem (of James Joyce) and Ciranda de Pedra (of Lygia Fagundes Telles), in the perspective of the development and intellectual formation of the two young protagonists, in your confluents characterizations.
