A moral não é queer. Nem a lei. Nem o direito. Isto é certo. Porém, a certeza
tampouco é queer. O governo nunca é queer. Entretanto, dizer “nunca” não é nada
queer. O gay talvez seja queer. Mas, afinal, o que é o queer? Provocativo e polêmico,
o queer, como movimento e teoria, vem sendo ensaiado e contestado,
internacionalmente e no Brasil. Mais do que traduções, classificações ou definições, o
objetivo aqui é, de modo muito breve e didático, apresentar a vertente do pensamento
conhecida como Teoria Queer, suas ideias-chave, conceitos e sugestões. Com este
trabalho, esperamos compreender um pouco mais o desenvolvimento das investigações
científicas sobre tal temática em nosso país.

Resumo Inglês:

Moral is not queer. Neither is the law. Nor rights. This is right. However,
certainty is not queer whatsoever. The government never is queer. Although, to say
never is not queer at all. Gay might be queer. But, after all, what is queer? Provocative
and polemic, the queer, as a movement and theory, is being written and contested,
internationally and in Brazil. More than translations, classifications or definitions, the
goal here is, in a very brief and didactic way, to show the strand of thought known as
Queer Theory, its keywords, concepts and propositions. With this paper, we hope to
comprehend a little bit more the development of the scientific investigations about this
thematic in our country.
