O processo de produção dos espaços informais de moradia na metrópole de Curitiba entre as décadas de 1990 e 2000

O artigo baseia-se nos resultados da pesquisa desenvolvida para a tese de doutorado e tem como objetivo caracterizar e analisar o processo de produção dos espaços informais de moradia na metrópole de Curitiba, entre as décadas de 1990 e 2000. A partir de diferentes indicadores socioespaciais, demonstra-se que o período estudado foi marcado pela expansão e intensificação da produção desses espaços em toda a aglomeração metropolitana. Verifica-se também que esse crescimento não foi homogêneo, diferenciando-se segundo as tipologias dos assentamentos, suas formas de produção e os agentes sociais envolvidos no processo. A investigação comprova que a dinâmica observada na metrópole de Curitiba assemelha-se à observada em outras metrópoles brasileiras no período, caracterizada pela ampliação da dificuldade de inserção das classes de baixa renda no mercado imobiliário formal, a concentração das necessidades habitacionais na faixa de renda até três salários mínimos, e a emergência de novas formas de acesso à moradia nos espaços informais.

The article is based on the results of research carried out for doctoral thesis, and aims to characterize and analyze the production process of informal housing areas in the metropolis of Curitiba, between the decades of 1990 and 2000. From different socio-spatial indicators, it shows that the studied period was marked by the expansion and intensification of production of these spaces throughout the metropolitan agglomeration. It was also verified that this growth was not homogeneous, differing according to the types of settlements, their ways of production, and the social agents involved in the process. Research proves that the dynamics observed in the metropolis of Curitiba resembles the same observed in other Brazilian cities in the period, characterized by the expansion of the difficulty of inserting the low-income classes in the formal housing market, the concentration of housing needs in the income range up to three minimum wages, and the emergence of new forms of access to housing in informal spaces.
