Em tempos de olhares violentos sobre o real, o olhar estético do afeto se apresenta como alternativa às políticas de segurança pública para o Rio de Janeiro. Uma técnica que pretende alterar a percepção sobre aquilo que é comunicado como violência, considerando que a cidade está estruturada sob uma dinâmica circular de comunicação que projeta imagens rotuladas percebidas como violência. Este padrão de interdependência comunicativa é responsável por instaurar um fluxo permanente de manifestações de violência entre morro (favela) e asfalto. Uma percepção modulada pela mídia e pelo estado em forma de espetáculo através do discurso do medo e do risco, e assimilada pela sociedade, que passa a exigir mais proteção e segurança, legitimando medidas de contenção e controle responsáveis por retroalimentar essa circularidade de violência e a divisão da cidade, entre espaços de inclusão e outros marginalizados. A fotografia é o medium dessa técnica que “faz ver”, “transforma o ver em olhar” e “faz agir sobre”, e o afeto é a lente. Uma possibilidade de reterritorialização através do afeto para reconfigurar a imagem da cidade e suas relações a partir da concepção spinoziana sobre afeto. Uma pesquisa que tem em Maurice Merleau-Ponty a referência metodológica para investigar a potência da experiência perceptiva como medium deste outro olhar sobre a violência, um olhar que acaba por se refletir sobre o mundo do direito.

In times of violent looks at the real, the aesthetic look of affect is presented as an alternative to public security policies for Rio de Janeiro. It is a technique that pretends to change the perception of what is communicated as violence, considering that the city is structured under a circular communication dynamic that projects labeled images perceived as violence. This communicative interdependence pattern is responsible for establishing a permanent flow of manifestations of violence between hill (slum) and asphalt. A perception modulated by the media and the state in form of spectacle through the discourse of fear and risk, and assimilated by society that starts to demand more protection and security, legitimizing measures of containment and control, responsible for feeding back this circularity of violence and the division of the city, between spaces of inclusion and other marginalized. Photography is the medium of this technique that “makes you see”, “turns see into look” and “makes you act on”, and the affect is the lenses. A possibility of reterritorialization through affect to reconfigure the image of the city and its relations based on Spinozian conception of affect. A research that has Maurice Merleau-Ponty as the methodological reference to investigate the potency of the perceptual experience as the medium of this other look at violence, a look that ends up reflecting on the world of law.
