Este estudo analisa opiniões de professores sobre o novo acordo ortográfico da lÃngua
portuguesa, realizado com base em entrevistas com educadores de universidades públicas e
particulares da cidade de Sinop. A partir dos dados coletados verificamos que os professores
têm opiniões diversificadas, com pontos positivos: a importância da unificação da lÃngua, que
facilita o intercâmbio entre os paÃses como correspondências e publicações de livros, os
pontos negativos: a perda de identidades nas obras, a dificuldade na adaptação dos alunos e a
falta de interesse na adequação por parte de alguns professores.
This study analyses teachers’ opinions referring the new ortographic agreement of the
Portuguese Language, accomplished through interviews with professors of public and private
universities in the city of Sinop. From the gathered data we could ascertain that professors
have diversified opinions concerning positive aspects: the importance of unification of the
language , what surely eases the interchange among Portuguese-speaking countries, such as
mails and publication of books. As for negative points - the loss of identity in literary works,
the difficulty students may have in order to adapt as well as lack of interest from some
professors.
