Resumo Português:

Adonias Filho é um nome bastante ativo e produtivo de nosso cenário
literário, mas não é um de nossos autores mais difundidos e pesquisados. Dentro desse
contexto, o livro O Largo da Palma tem lugar ainda menos privilegiado. Nossa leitura
dessa obra é centrada no corpo, nos diversos modos como ele é tematizado no livro:
como elemento negativo, objeto de troca e de violação. Neste artigo, mostramos ainda
como esse autor constantemente relacionado a um pensamento de direita escreveu, nas
novelas aqui analisadas, histórias em que a pobreza se faz presente, sem jamais ser um
elemento limitador, especialmente daquilo que é fundamental para o autor: o humano.

Adonias Filho is a very active and productive author of our literary
landscape, nevertheless there is not so many researches about his works. Within this
context, the book O Largo da Palma takes a place even less privileged. We focus our
reading of this work on the body in the ways as it is thematized in the book: as a
negative element, as an object of exchange, and of violation. In this article, we show
how this author constantly related to a right thinking wrote, in the six novels here
analyzed, stories in which poverty is something existent, without being a limiting factor,
especially to what is fundamental to the author: the human
