O trabalho apresenta um panorama do léxico português, abordando diferentes questões pertinentes à análise lexical: relações entre léxico e gramática; variedades do léxico português (lÃngua comum, lÃnguas técnicas, neologismos); composição do léxico português (fundo latino, empréstimos greco-latinos, empréstimos de outras lÃnguas).

In this work, an overview of the Portuguese lexis is presented from the perspective of different questions concerning lexical analysis: the relation between lexis and grammar; varieties of Portuguese lexis (common language, technical languages, neologisms); the compostion of the Portuguese lexis (Latin background, borrowings from Latin and Greek, borrowings from ohter languages).
