objetivo deste artigo é discutir a construção ficcional da voz narrativa em A Gloriosa FamÃlia – O tempo dos flamengos (1997), de Pepetela. A proposta de trabalho sobre o romance histórico do autor angolano é abrir alguns enunciados da obra, a partir do seu pensamento sobre a noção de discurso e poder, buscando a multiplicidade de acontecimentos que operam nos jogos entre o real e o ficcional; entre o fato histórico e a suas versões imersas nas práticas histórico-sociais. A ideia é articular o foco narrativo em seu duplo movimento: as epÃgrafes que registram a História sobre a Ãfrica, em especial Angola, durante os sete anos de dominação holandesa, e a narrativa conduzida pelo escravo-narrador-personagem, ou seja, a narrativa angolana sobre a história do processo colonialista luso-holandês no século XVII.

The aim of this article is to discuss the construction of fictional narrative voice in
The Glorious Family - The time of the Flemings (1997), by Pepetela. The purpose of this
work is to open some statements of work, from his thoughts on the notion of discourse and
power, seeking the multiplicity of events that operate in the games between the real and
fictional; between historical fact and their versions immersed in historical and social
practices. The idea is to articulate the narrative focus in its double movement: the epigraphs
that record the history of Africa, particularly Angola, during the seven years of Dutch rule,
and narrative driven by the slave-narrator-character, ie the Angolan narrative about the
history of Portuguese-Dutch colonialist process in the seventeenth century.
