O Arquivo,ao espelhar discursos e práticas sociais,mantem uma relação inerente com a memória e identidade da sociedade na qual o mesmo se insere. Tendo como pressuposto a importância dessa relação, este artigo visa demonstrar a maneira como o arquivo, memória e identidade se intercruzam. Retoma e contextualiza a história dos arquivosaté o momento em que esses se tornam em laboratório para história e “lugares de memória” enunciadospor Nora (1993) focando a sua relação com a memória e identidade.Explana sobre a conceituação e classificação realizadas por Stuart Hall (2001) e Denys Cuche (2002) sobre as concepções de identidade. Também é observado o Arquivo e suas finalidades enquanto “lugar de memória” e a utilização desse espaço na construção, corroboração e/ou refutação de discursos identitários.Explana sobre o uso das novas tecnologias na preservação e acesso de acervos arquivísticose a repercussãoque acarreta na relação entre Arquivos digitais, memória e identidade.
The Archive in mirroring social discourses and practices maintains an inherent relation with the memory and identity of the society in which it is inserted. Assuming the importance of this relation, this article aims to demonstrate the way in which the file, memory and identity are interlinked. It recaptures and contextualizes the history of the archives until they become a laboratory for history and "places of memory" enunciated by Nora (1993) focusing on their relationship with memory and identity. Explains about the conceptualization and classification carried out by Stuart Hall (2001) and Denys Cuche (2002) on conceptions of identity. It is also observed the Archive and its purposes as "place of memory" and the use of this space in the construction, corroboration and / or refutation of identity discourses. Explains aboutthe use of new technologies in the preservation and access of archival collections and the repercussion that results in the relationship between digital archives, memory and identity.
